Tell me about yourself

At the age of 20, I received my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University. After conducting research in retinal diseases in undergrad, I spent 2.5 years in the ophthalmic field leading and managing a team of technicians while forging strong pharmaceutical relationships, followed by 3 years in education. Through my experience, I provided selfless care, built confident future leaders, and built meaningful relationships, all while maintaining a positive work environment.
In my career in education, I have thrived in simplifying complex ideas by effectively teaching students above grade level content with real world connections in a way that is easy to be understood. I have also made data driven decisions to forge growth in 90% of my students, going beyond just filling COVID gaps, and orchestrated professional development workshops to share my strategies while educating staff across the district to promote equal opportunity for quality service.
A driving force for pursuing my MBA is the goal to grow companies on a large scale while positively serving my community. Mays MBA program allows me to immerse myself in a depth of knowledge and experience while growing and refining my business comprehension. With my passion for science and my heart for servant leadership, I’m looking forward to being a positive influencer of growth, while best serving our customers’ needs.
