Tell me about yourself

After receiving my Undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma, I planned to attend law school and follow in my mom's footsteps. However, I had the opportunity to found my own company after discovering the problem of needing to charge my phone within stadiums. During the pandemic, we were able to pivot our business to supply PPE and generated over 3.5 million dollars. However, we failed to secure recurring contracts, and I started at EY as a Business Consultant.

Being at EY allowed me to see all the different business models and how other corporations leadership form strategic initiatives and compete within the global and national economy. I was fortunate to serve as a consultant for various industries, such as oil and gas, manufacturing, technology, real estate, and mining. After running my own business and working as a Business Consultant, I returned to school to get my MBA and be associated with the best network in the world at Texas A&M. What attracted me to Mays was not only was I going to receive an elite education but that I was going to have access to an elite network and elite opportunities that were going to launch me into my new career.

In my career, I have excelled at introducing and executing strategic initiatives. Through My MBA, I have been able to compete in multiple case competitions, which have rewarded me with experiences that allowed me to form a strategy, collaborate with other team members, and compete against some of the top MBA programs in the country. The best way to measure where you are at is to compete with others. These case competitions have allowed me to see what skills I need to improve and how to address questions from stakeholders who have a vested interest in my deliverables.

Throughout my MBA, I have worked with multiple stakeholders as the Director of Events of the MBA Association. Through this experience, I have improved my communication and negotiation styles, which has led to better events while reducing the amount of annual spending by 3,000 dollars and improving the overall experience for our members. This performance improvement has led to expanding my role within the MBA program, and I was put in charge by the recruiting team to plan the opening event for our MBA recruitment weekend.
