Tell me about yourself

I am an Aggie Class of 2017 with an undergraduate degree in Health but transitioned to a role in business post-graduation after realizing med school was not for me. I lived in spreadsheets for 3 years doing reconciliations where I refined my attention to detail and developed an intuition for finding problems in datasets. I believe in transforming observations into action by utilizing critical thinking skills to understand a situation and deliver exactly what’s needed when it's needed. I thrive in environments that require finding patterns and exploring alternate scenarios to make decisions and have the communication and leadership skills to ensure those decisions are implemented correctly by the team.

This summer I interned at Toyota Bank where I embraced the mantra of continuous improvement by working with the commercial lending team to mitigate risk and gain efficiency in the lien release and wire transfer processes. I was fortunate enough to work with and learn from several teams across Toyota which instilled a passion for finance and strategy and their role in understanding a business and making it successful. By the end of the summer, I was able to put together several proposals that are currently part of the standard operating procedures for the bank.

During the MBA program, I am the Director of Aggies in Business Venture, a student organization that helps the Aggie Angel Network find startups for seed round investment. Because of this, I have had the opportunity to work with entrepreneurs of different backgrounds, temperaments, and industries. They helped me cultivate an attitude of continuously learning from those around me and of always working hard toward my passions. I treat every role I enter with an entrepreneurial mindset of ownership and diligence which has produced both results and innovation.
